My name is Kim Jurczyk and I recently graduated from Penn State University with degrees in English and Communication Arts and Sciences. I lived in Lusaka, Zambia for a year as a Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) with the Presbyterian Church (USA). During the year, I served as the Communications Associate for the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) Synod of Zambia. My work included writing newsletters for the synod, interviewing department heads, and editing the synod’s website.
This blog was a place for reflection, sharing, and critical thinking about my experience in Zambia. I included blog posts about Zambian culture, my site placement, and the inevitable struggles and victories I encountered.
Thank you to everyone who supported me through this incredible chapter of my life.
